A cast net is an instrument for catching
fish. It is made from nylon threads woven together with regular
equal spaces between them. To catch fish, the net is casted
in to water by hands in a circular shape. The lead weights fixed
to the end of the net cause it to sink rapidly into water. A
length of distance in casting the net is controlled by a string
tied to the net.
At present, two types of the cast nets
are widely used, namely:
1. a monofilament nylon type.,
2. a multifilamt nylon type.
